Moss loves a Chiltern roof. North-facing slopes under the beech trees of the valleys stay damp all winter, and moss grows thick across the tiles, lifts their edges and holds water against them. Frost then cracks the tiles, and the moss washes down and blocks the gutters.

When some queries were raised by building control, Safetech went above and beyond to help resolve them. The suggestions made by Safetech and their team all the way through were extremely knowledgeable and practical. They also actively discouraged me from carrying out unnecessary expensive work, and instead suggested a lower cost, simpler solution, which the building control officer then agreed with. Additionally, the scaffolding had to be left in place far, far longer than expected - this was due to delays on my side and Pat generously didn’t charge extra for this
